Ko hits the lead in Arkansas

The New Zealand golfer Lydia Ko has stormed into a tie for the lead after the second round of the latest LPGA event in Arkansas.

Ko started the day tied for 16th, four shots off the leader.

She fired a course record equalling second round nine under par 62 to move up the leaderboard to a tie for the lead with American Morgan Pressel.

Ko's round included five birdies and an eagle on her back nine.

She shot 28 on the back nine, the lowest nine this season.

There is just one round remaining.
