The teenage All Whites forward Monty Patterson has signed a one-year contract with English championship club Ipswich Town.
Patterson left Auckland club Eastern Suburbs in 2013 to move to England.
The 19-year-old has played five times for the All Whites and last played in the final of the Oceania Football Confederations Nations Cup, when New Zealand beat Papua New Guinea in a penalty shoot out to advance to next year's Confederation Cup tournament in Russia.
He joins former New Zealand captain Tommy Smith at Ipswich. Smith's a starting central defender for the Tractor Boys.
