Winning run comes to an end for Burling and Tuke

The almost four year winning run of New Zealand sailors Peter Burling and Blair Tuke has come to end just three weeks before the Rio Olympics.

Burling and Tuke were unbeaten in 27 regattas in the 49er class, winning a silver medal at the London Olympics in 2012.

They were beaten by Australians Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen in the South American champs which were sailed on Guanabara Bay in Rio, the same water which will host the Olympic sailing competition for eleven days from August 9th.
