Good batting time for Black Caps

The New Zealand batsmen got some good time at the wicket on the first day of their 3-day warmup game against Zimbabwe A in Harare.

After winning the toss and deciding to bat the Black Caps ended the first day on 345 for seven.

Opener Martin Gutill top scored with 74.

BJ Watling made 61, Henry Nicholls 52 and Mitchell Santner 32 before deciding to retire to give others time at the crease.

Ish Sodhi is unbeaten on 54.

The first test starts next Thursday in Bulawayo.
