Bond and Styris back for Blackcaps

Shane Bond and Scott Styris have returned to the New Zealand cricket team for the limited-overs matches against Australia.

Bond was always going to be picked if fit but Styris wasn't picked for the matches against Bangladesh despite his good form for Auckland.

He won't be playing in the two Twenty20 matches, starting on Friday night in Wellington, but will play in the first two one day matches.

Bond's back after recovering from the abdominal injury which forced him to retire from tests after his brief comeback against Pakistan in Dunedin late last year.

Coach Mark Greatbatch says they're very happy with the Canterbury pace bowler's progress especially as he's always saved his best for the Australians.

The Wellington left arm quick Andy McKay is still unavailable though with the foot injury that kept hin out of the Bangladesh test in Hamilton and Ian Butler's been dropped.

Styris and Neil Broom aren't in the 12 stoing Twenty20 squad of Daniel Vettori, Bond, James Franklin, Martin Guptill, Gareth Hopkins, Peter Ingram, Brendon and Nathan McCullum, Jacob Oram, Tim Southee, Ross Taylor and Daryl Tuffey
