The two Phoenix players in the Socceroos squad for next week's Asia Cup qualifier against Indonesia has praised the Phoenix for their return to the national side.
Next Wednesday's clash in Brisbane will determine whether Australia advance to the 2011 Asian Cup finals in Qatar with the Socceroos needing just a point to qualify.
Defenders Andrew Durante and Jon McKain are among a host of players resurrecting their Socceroos careers after 2 years out of the scene following outstandings seasons with the Phoenix.
Durante says people said playing in New Zealand you wouldn't get noticed, but he says that's proven a few people wrong.
He says he was hoping the good season he'd had would turn into an international call-up.
Australia will play in the World Cup in June.
