Two tries from Zac Guilford helped the Crusaders to a comprehensive 35-6 thumping of the Sharks in Christchurch on Friday.
It was a welcome return to form for the seven-time Super Rugby champions, who welcomed back All Black skipper Richie McCaw in his first appearance of 2010.
Coach Todd Blackadder singled out his tight five for special praise against up against a seasoned Sharks pack, and says he was heartened by the players' response to last weeks shock loss against the Reds.
Blackadder says despite the strong showing in the scrums the lineout will need to improve ahead of next weekends blockbuster clash with the Blues.
