Easy win for Australia despite the nerves in opening Twenty-20

Despite comfortably winning the opening Twenty-20 cricket international against New Zealand, player of the match, Mitchell Johnson says there were plenty of nerves in the Australian dressing room ahead of the game.

Batting first New Zealand scored a disappointing 118, struggling to cope with the pace of the Australian fast bowlers, Johnson, Shaun Tait and Dirk Nannes, who between them took seven wickets.

Australia reached the target with four overs to spare and Johnson says he's glad he doesn't have to face the Australian bowling lineup.

He says with a trio of bowlers able to bowl above 150 kilometres per hour consistently, it means the opposition don't get a chance to relax.

Game two is in Christchurch on Sunday.
