The United States has won its first Olympic gold medal in the 4-man bobsleigh in 62 years with victory at the Vancouver winter games.
The US held on to a comfortable lead in the fourth and final run to present the United States with a triumph in the showcase sliding event they had been waiting for since the 1948 Games in St Moritz, Switzerland.
Germany, bidding for a record third consecutive four-man Olympic gold, claimed silver with Canada taking bronze.
