3:48 pm on 28 November 2016

New Zealand have built a 236 run second innings lead over Pakistan at tea on day four of the second cricket test in Hamilton.

The Black Caps are 181 for three, with Ross Taylor on 37 and Henry Nicholls on 9.

The batsmen out since lunch were Kane Williamson for 42 and Tom Latham for 80 while Jeet Raval was dismissed in the first session of the day for two.

Latham had an event filled innings surviving a run out appeal when the third umpire needed several minutes to give him not out.

TV replays showed Latham's bat on the crease line when the ball hit the stumps, but when the bail was actually dislodged in the next frame he was narrowly inside his crease.

The third umpire gave him not out but the decision momentarily flashed up as out on the ground scoreboard, before showing not out.

He was also dropped in his 40's, a tough chance at mid-wicket.

New Zealand lead the two match series 1-nil.
