The New Zealand lawn bowls team are in medal contention in all four disciplines as they enter the semi-final stage at the World Championships in Christchurch.

Jo Edwards will play in one of two women's singles pre-semi-final playoffs this morning, after finishing second-equal on the section one ladder on Thursday.

If she wins, she'll go on to play Scotland in the semi-final this afternoon.

The women's fours team of Val Smith, Kirsten Edwards, Katelyn Inch and Angela Boyd head straight through to this afternoon's semi-final against either Australia or Scotland, after just one loss in section play.

Also straight through to the semi-finals are the Blackjacks men's pairing of Shannon McIlroy and Mike Kernaghan, and the men's triples team of Ali Forsyth, Blake Signal and Mike Nagy.

Both men's teams also only registered one loss each during the first three days of play.
