New Zealand's unbeaten rowing crew of Eric Murray and Hamish Bond have again been overlooked at the World Rowing Awards.

Eric Murray, Hamish Bond and Mahe Drysdale won't be part of the New Zealand's international rowing programme in 2017.

The male crew of the year has gone to the Croatian double scullers Martin Sinkovic and Valent Sinkovic who won at this year's Olympics.

The pair of Murray and Bond, who extended their winning streak to 69 races with success in Rio and Mahe Drysdale, who defended his singles sculls title in Rio, were both finalists.

Noel Donaldson, who coached Bond and Murray and the men's eight at the Olympics, was a finalist for Coach of the Year, but that went to South African Roger Barrow.

In 2015 no New Zealand crews were finalists despite the squad winning five world championship titles in 2015.
