New Zealand fly to US with realistic expectations

The New Zealand football team fly to the United States today for their first world cup warm-up match against Mexico in Pasadena.

The All Whites are missing some experience with captain Ryan Nelsen and 33-year-old defender Ivan Vicelich missing, but the coach Ricki Herbert says he'll use the game to try out new player combinations.

Herbert says the team has realistic expectations against the 17th-ranked Mexico.

The All Whites take on Mexico on Thursday.
