The New Zealand bowler Tim Southee was one of the Blackcaps heroes in their thrilling 'super over' win against Australia in the second Twenty20 cricket clash in Christchurch and captain Daniel Vettori says the youngster's bowling at the death was something special.

The Blackcaps set the tourists a daunting target of 214 after a stunning knock of 116 off just 56 balls by opening batsman Brendon McCullum.

But the Australians drew the game on the last ball of their innings sending the match into the 'super over' elimination.

Tim Southee was unfazed with having to bowl at the death as well as the 'super over', conceding just 17 runs in his final spell and Vettori says he always had confidence in the 21 year old paceman.
