The Wests Tigers' star recruit Lote Tuqiri will make a return to rugby league in the opening round of the NRL season having gained an early release from the English rugby side Leicester.
Tuqiri will link up with his new Tigers teammates next week, and despite having only a few training runs is set to play against Manly in Sydney on March 15.
He hasn't played in the NRL for seven years since quitting Brisbane to switch to the 15-man game, and will play his final match for Leicester against London Irish this weekend.
The Tigers coach Tim Sheens says he'd have no hesitation in bringing Tuqiri into his squad, as he'll be match fit after his stint in the northern hemisphere.
