A tired but excited All Whites side has arrived in Los Angeles for it's first football world cup warm up match against Mexico.

The team will only have time to train together twice before Thursday's game and Brown says while that's not ideal, it's simply part and parcel of international football.

Mexico, which is ranked 17th in the world are coming off a 5-0 win over Bolivia and 50,000 tickets have already been sold for the match at the Pasadena Rose Bowl.

New Zealand's ranked 79th in the world.
