Wales rugby flanker Andy Powell has been banned from driving for 15 months and fined a thousand pounds for driving a golf buggy on a public road close to a motorway while he was over the drink-driving limit.
The 28-year-old British and Irish Lions loose forward pleaded guilty to the charge which happened the morning after Wales' remarkable Six Nations comeback win over Scotland in in Cardiff.
Powell was immediately dropped from Wales squad for the rest of the Championship.
