The Black Caps wicket-keeper Luke Ronchi will miss the third and final Twenty20 against Bangladesh, after being ruled out of cricket for at least four weeks with a groin injury.

Ronchi tore his right adductor muscle during the second innings of New Zealand's 47-run win at Mount Maunganui yesterday.

He will have a scan in the coming days to further understand the extent of the injury, but he is expected to be out for four to six weeks.

Ronchi will be replaced in the team by the uncapped Wellington wicket-keeper Tom Blundell, who'll join the Black Caps after today's domestic T20 SuperSmash final between the Firebirds and Central Stags.

Black Caps coach Mike Hesson says batsman Tom Bruce, who filled in with the gloves yesterday after Ronchi left the field, could also be an option for behind the stumps.

The third and final T20 starts at 3 o'clock on Sunday afternoon.
