Munro was listed as "unavailable for selection" for the four-day match at Eden Park's outer oval.

In a statement released by New Zealand Cricket, chief executive David White said Munro has been suspended for disciplinary reasons relating to the Aces' match against Canterbury at Eden Park last week.

"A Code of Conduct hearing found Munro had used inappropriate language in the round seven fixture and, given his previous record in this area, handed down a one-match suspension. Colin did not appeal the ruling," White said.

Munro was recently dropped for the Black Caps' One-Day series against South Africa but played in New Zealand's T20 loss to the Proteas last month.
