6:27 pm on 10 March 2010

The New Zealand amateur golf representative Zoe Brake has won her way into the field for this Australian Women's Open in Victoria.

Brake, who will lead the New Zealand team in the Queen Sirikit Cup on home soil next month, fired a three-under par 71 to be one of four players to make it through final pre-qualifying at the Peninsula Golf Club in Melbourne.

She will take her place in the field for the 780 thousand dollar event that begins tomorrow at the Commonwealth Golf Club.

Brake, the only New Zealand amateur in the field, will join New Zealand professionals Stacy Tate, Cathryn Bristow and Sarah Nicholson.
