The visitors commanded the match from the outset, leading 16-7 after the first quarter.

By half time the Magic had stretched their lead to 31-18 and their gap was never seriously troubled by the hosts.

Magic defenders Casey Kopua, Alex MacLeod-Smith and Kelly Jury constantly disrupted the Tactix attacking flow while down the other end, Lenize Potgieter and Monica Falkner both shot at over 90 percent accuracy.

The Tactix veteran goal attack Anna Thomson had an off-night in the shooting circle, only making six of her 14 attempts, but shooter Brooke Leaver made 37 of 44.

The loss keeps the Tactix stuck in last place on the Premiership ladder while the Magic have moved into the top spot ahead of the Steel.
