Despite the return of all their IPL players the Black Caps were bowled out for 189 in the 39th over.

Opening the batting Luke Ronchi made 66 and Jimmy Neesham finished unbeaten on 46, however just two others made double figures.

In reply, India was 129 for 3 in the 26th over when rain halted the game.

Tim Southee, Trent Boult and Jimmy Neesham picked up a wicket each.

New Zealand's final warm-up match is against Sri Lanka in Birmingham tomorrow night.
