Valerie Vili has qualified second for the final of the women's shot put at the World Indoor Championships in Doha.
Vili threw 19.81 metres but had to settle for second best behind long-time rival Nadzeya Ostapchuk of Belarus.
Ostapchuk topped qualifiers with a throw of 20.09 metres and is in good form after landing a 21.70 metre throw at the Belarus national champs last months.
The final takes place early tomorrow New Zealand time.
