Nonu cleared of high tackle charge

The Hurricanes centre Ma'a Nonu has been cleared of a dangerous tackle charge after appearing before a SANZAR judicial officer in Cape Town.

Nonu was cited for a high on Stormers flyhalf Peter Grant in the 71st minute of their Super 14 match at the weekend.

The Stormers won the match 37-13.

SANZAR Judicial Officer Rob Stelzner judged that Nonu's arm had slipped up from the point of contact and that a penalty was sufficient punishment.
