Top seeds Team New Zealand will meet the Russian syndicate Synergy in the first knockout round today at the Louis Vuitton yachting regatta on the Waitemata Harbour.
Dean Barker's crew beat the Russians by a minute in their final round robin match yesterday, although they did have to come from behind to do so.
Barker admits they still have plenty to work on, including thier starts, but believe they still have time to do so.
In other matches today 2nd seeds Mascalzone Latino meet Alehp, 3rd seeds All4One meet Team Origin and 4th seeds Azzurra meet Artemis.
The top 2 ranked teams that win today advance directly to the semi-finals, while the rest go to a second round of elimination.
