Welsh winger George North and Irish midfielder Robbie Henshaw have been ruled out of the remainder of the Lions tour through injury.

Henshaw tore a pectoral muscle in the first half of Tuesday's 31-31 draw with the Hurricanes, while North suffered a hamstring tear.

North missed out on the test team for last week's match against the All Blacks which the Lions lost 30-15, and sustained the injury after scoring a try against the Hurricanes.

Henshaw, who scored a try when Ireland beat New Zealand in Chicago last November, lasted only 20 minutes of Tuesday's match before being forced from the field.

The Irishman had struggled to make a case for a test spot with coach Warren Gatland preferring rugby league convert Ben Te'o and Welshman Jonathan Davies in the midfield for last weekend's clash against the All Blacks.

Owen Farrell will move out one position for Saturday's test at Westpac Stadium to partner Davies in the midfield while Johnny Sexton will start at first-five.

With only two tests remaining in the 10-match tour, Gatland is unlikely to name any replacements unless there are further injuries in Wellington.
