World cycle champs important for younger squad members

New Zealand's head cycling coach Tim Carswell has more than just podium finishes in mind when the 17-strong team competes at the world championships in Copenhagen next week.

The squad flies to Denmark today and Carswell says the team has a number of younger members who will probably benefit the most from the trip before going to the Commonwealth Games.

Carswell says New Zealand's best hopes at the champs are in the individual and team pursuits,
