Clarke doesn't expect Black Caps to sledge him over engagement break-up

Updated at 6:42 pm on 17 March 2010

Australia's vice-captain Michael Clarke doesn't expect to be sledged by the New Zealand players about his private life when the first cricket test begins in Wellington tomorrow.

Clarke has rejoined the touring Australian side after last week rushing back to Sydney to sort out his relationship with his bikini-model fiancee Lara Bingle, who was attempting to deal with a nude-photo scandal.

The subsequent break up of his relationship has created a media storm in Australia but Clarke doesn't expect the the New Zealand cricketers to attack him over that.

Clarke says there's a mutual respect between the players on both teams, and if he does cop a bit of flack it's unlikely to affect him.

But the batsman accepts the crowd will probably be a different story.
