Golfing legend still expects Tiger to break his record

Updated at 11:12 am on 18 March 2010

The golfing legend Jack Nicklaus confidently expects Tiger Woods to beat his record of 18 Majors when his disgraced American compatriot returns to the sport in April.

Woods will return to golf to play The Masters in Augusta, where he won the first of his 14 Majors, following a five-month lay-off over a sex scandal that wrecked his iconic image.

Nicklaus says he thought if Woods didn't play this year it would make passing his record more difficult, but he still expects expect the World number one to beat it sooner rather than later.
