Olympic silver medalist Nick Willis could well have revenge and a record on his mind when he lines up in an 800 metre race at QE2 stadium in Christchurch tonight.
It possibly the best 800 field in New Zealand since the 1990 Commonwealth Games, Willis will be looking to beat Australians Jeff Riseley and Jeremy Roff who beat him in a 1500 metres race in Melbourne earlier this month.
Willis, who'll be looking to defend his Commonwealth Games 1500 metre title and complete the 800 double in Delhi later this year, is likely to also go close to Sir Peter Snell's 46-year-old New Zealand residents record.
Also competing at the meet is former world discus champion and twice Commonwealth champion Beatrice Faumuina will come up against the current world champion Dani Samuels of Australia.
