The Crusaders have rested 5 All Blacks for their Super 14 match against the Lions in Christchurch on Saturday, while the former All Black lock Chris Jack is set to get his first taste of Super rugby in 3 years.
Wyatt Crockett, Brad Thorn, Kieren Read, George Whitelock and Dan Carter are all out of the starting side, with Crockett, Whitelock and Carter on the bench.
Thorn does have a minor injury.
Jack, who has recovering from off-season surgery, has been named on the bench with Sam Whitelock and Issac Ross starting in the second row.
Colin Slade starts in the number 10 jersey, Adam Whitelock at centre, Thomas Waldrom at number eight, Ben Franks at prop and Jonathon Poff on the openside flank.
