Cowan back for Highlanders

All Blacks halfback Jimmy Cowan is back to captain the Highlanders in their Super 14 rugby match against the South African side the Sharks in Dunedin on Saturday night.

Cowan missed the Bulls match in Pretoria last weekend after dislocating a finger.

Loosie Adam Thomson and inside back Michael Hobbs are back after serving a one match ban for breaking team protocols....Thomson will start at number eight and Hobbs at second five eight.

The Southland first five Robbie Robinson gets his first start.

All Blacks lock Tom Donnelly is unavialable because of an ankle injury with Hayden Triggs getting a start.
