For the second time in a fortnight New Zealand's Olympic 1500 metres silver medalist Nick Willis has had his colours lowered by the rising Australian middle distance runner Jeff Riseley.
The 23-year-old Australian outsprinted Willis over 800 metres on Thursday night in Christchurch, winning a thrilling finish to clock a minute and 47.75 seconds, 0.3 of a second ahead of Willis.
Riseley beat 26-year-old Willis over 1500 metres two weeks ago in Melbourne, and he's looking forward to continuing their rivalry at the New Delhi Commonwealth Games in October.
