The New Zealand Warriors are expected to take part in a silent protest, organised by the Rugby League Players' Association, against the NRL in tomorrow night's match against the Cronulla Sharks at Mount Smart Stadium.

The RLPA has sent a box of green tape to each club for players to wear on their wrists, boots, arms and heads as a show of support for their ongoing negotiations with the NRL over a pay deal.

A RLPA spokesperson confirmed the Warriors had been sent a box of the tape and had confirmation from their representatives within the club that the tape would be worn by the majority of their players.

Meanwhile Brisbane coach Wayne Bennett has laid down the law to any of his players seeking to join the protest.

Bennett said it was the wrong platform for players to use and expects none of his Broncos will be taking part in the protest during Friday night's clash against Parramatta.
