In an unlikely result, English Premier League football side Fulham has knocked Italy's Juventus out of the Europa League with a 4-1 win at Craven Cottage.

Juventus striker David Trezeguetput the visitors ahead in just the second minute to add to the Italian's 3-1 advantage from the first leg, but Fulham's Bobby Zamora levelled seven minutes later.

Midfielder Zoltan Gera scored either side of halftime, and Clint Dempsey grabbed the decisive goal with seven minutes left to send the Londoners into their first European quarter-final.

Juventus finished the second-leg game with just nine men, losing Fabio Cannavaro in the first half and Jonathan Zebina in the last minute of the game.

It's the second time this season they've gone out of European competition with a 4-1 defeat after they lost at home to Bayern Munich in their final Champions League group match

There was also drama in Germany where David Villa scored a hat-trick to help Valencia hold Werder Bremen to a 4-4 draw, which sent the Spaniards through on away goals.
