Australia win toss and elect to bat

The Australian cricketers have won the toss and elected to bat in the first test match against New Zealand at the Basin Reserve.
The Black Caps will play with four seamers, with Northern Districts pace bowler Brent Arnell to make his test debut.
Batsman Ryan Harris will make his debut for Australia, while Shane Watson has been left out after bruising his hip.
