New Zealand netball teams have made it 2 from 2 over Australian rivals in the trans-tasman competition after the Southern Steel's 46-44 victory over the West Coast Fever in Invercargil.

It follows the Northern Mystics first ever victory over an Australian side when they beat the Adelaide Thunderbirds 55-52 on Saturday.

The Steel were up by 1 at quarter time, 4 at half time and 3 at three-quarter time.

Daneka Wipiiti shot 28 of 33 and Australian import Megan Dehn 18 of 22 for the Steel who have not lost to an Australian team in Invercargil.

In Sydney the New South Wales Swifts beat the Queensland Firebirds 50-47, while tonight the Canterbury Tactix host the Central Pulse and the Melbourne Vixens host the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic.
