Ljubicic wins Indian Wells men's title

The veteran Croatian Ivan Ljubicic has beaten the American Andy Roddick 7-6 7-6 in the final of the indian Wells tournament in Californioa to become the oldest first-time winner of a Masters event.

Ljubicic, who turned 31 on Saturday, reached a career high off No.3 in the world in 2006.

He beat world No.2 Novak Djokovic and No.3 Rafael Nadal on the way to to his clash with the eighth-ranked Roddick and served 20 aces.
