Warriors halfback cleared of dangerous throw

The Warriors halfback James Maloney was found not guilty of a grade one dangerous throw offence by the NRL's rugby league judiciary last night.

New signing Maloney and back-rower Lewis Brown were placed on report following a tackle on Cronulla's Anthony Tupou during Saturday's win over the Sharks in Auckland.

They were each charged with a grade one dangerous throw.

Brown entered an early guilty plea and will miss one match, while Maloney beat his charge last night.

Maloney says he's relieved he'll be able to take his place in the Warriors team to face the Broncos in Brisbane on Sunday.

Maloney faced a two-match suspension if he had been found guilty.
