Johnson will manage England at 2011 Rugby World Cup

Martin Johnson will manage England in the 2011 World Cup after the Rugby Football Union's management board backed him despite a poor Six Nations.

England only won two of five games in the tournament and were criticised for a perceived lack of attacking flair.

RFU chairman Martyn Thomas says the board's position had always been that Johnson should stay as manager and lead the team in New Zealand in 2011.

Johnson was appointed in 2008 with no coaching experience.
