Weather will decide Black Caps second Test XI

Hamilton's weather will influence the selection of the New Zealand XI to take on Australia in the second and final cricket Test at Seddon Park.

Rain's reduced the likelihood of the 19-year-old Northern Districts batsman Kane Williamson making his Test debut on his home ground, while it strengthened the possibility of James Franklin's inclusion in the playing XI for the match on a well-grassed pitch.

Coach Mark Greatbatch has said Mathew Sinclair is likely to bat at number three if they decide to leave out Peter Imgram.
