Rowers on course in Florida

The New Zealand rowers have continued their strong performances on day two of the Rowing World Championships in Florida.

The women's pair of Grace Prendergast and Kerri Gowler are through to the final after dominating their heat, finishing five and a half seconds clear of second place.

They became the first pair to progress to A-finals from the New Zealand team.

In equally dominant form were John Storey and Chris Harris in the men's double sculls, comfortably winning their heat to progress to the semi-finals.

The women's double sculls of Olivia Loe and Brooke Donoghue also won their heat to advance.

Women's single sculler Hannah Osbourne and the women's four of Charlotte Spence, Elizabeth Ross, Kirstyn Goodger and Jackie Gowler must head to the repechage races after finishing third and last in their heats respectively.
