Four medals for NZ cyclists

Bike NZ high performance manager Mark Elliott says 4 world track championship medals is fantastic, but it shows they still have a long way to go.

Lauren Ellis won a silver medal in the women's points race this morning to add to the silver and 2 bronze the team won over the weekend.

Elliott says with so many of the squad still teenagers the signs are all good, but that plenty of work is still needed.

He says they have some very experienced 20 and 21 year olds, but the youngsters, especially the men's sprint team, show they have great depth.

New Zealand finished 10th on the world championship medal table... Australia topped it with 6 gold, while Britain was second with 3.
