Broncos licking wounds after walloping from Warriors

6:12 am on 29 March 2010

The Warriors' stand-in halfback James Moloney scored three tries and landed 8 goals for a personal haul of 28 points as his new team buried the Brisbane Broncos under an avalanche of tries 48-16 yesterday in Brisbane.

The Warriors were at their razzle dazzle best, taking an early 14-4 lead before the Broncos came back to lead 16-14.

But Ivan Cleary's side, minus skipper Simon Mannering and winger Manu Vatuvei with hamstring injuries, scored the last 34 points of the game.

The Warriors are in fourth place on the NRL table after two wins and a loss.
