Cooper almost running out of options

6:25 am on 31 March 2010

The Hurricanes coach Colin Cooper admits he's almost exhausted all his options as he tries to get the side out of a 4-match losing streak that'll probably kill of their Super 14 play-off hopes if it continues against the Crusaders on Friday night.

There was a sense of frustration at Hurricanes training today with the coach saying changes in approach are needed if they're to get back into winning ways.

Cooper, who is in his last year with the side, says it's been a week of support for the players, as threats aren't working.

There are unlikely to be many changes when Cooper names his side tomorrow, although wing Hosea Gear could at least be on the bench after recoving from knee surgery following an injury in the first round.
