The news continues to get better for All Whites coach Anthony Hudson ahead of the side's world cup qualifier against Peru in Wellington next week, with skipper Winston Reid set to return to the field this weekend in the English premier league.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed centre back Reid should be fit for his side's upcoming match against Liverpool.

Injury has meant Reid has played just one game for the All Whites in the past year - the 2-1 loss against Japan last month.

Striker Chris Wood is also set to return to premier league action this weekend for Burnley.

Wood missed Burnley's 1-0 win over Newcastle with a hamstring injury but manager Sean Dyche is confident the striker will be back for the game against Southampton.

The All Whites play Peru in the intercontinental playoff in Wellington on Saturday week with the return leg in Lima the following week.

The winner will earn a place in the World Cup in Russia next year.
