Woods looks foward to resuming competition alongside Williams

Tiger Woods was guarded about the state of his marriage but has reaffirmed his commitment to his family as he prepares to end a five-month self-imposed exile from golf at the US Masters later this week.

Woods has told a media conference he lied to himself as well to his wife, family and friends about his secret life of affairs.

But he added he was emerging from the ordeal of personal and public humiliation with a new appreciation for what really mattered in life.

The world number one underwent 45 days of treatment after his serial infidelities became public, although he wouldn't specify what he was treated for.

Woods says he's looking forward to playing again alongside his New Zealand caddie Steve Williams.
