New Zealand leads by one in Queen Sirikit Cup

The young New Zealand team will take a one shot lead into today's second round of the Queen Sirikit Cup women's golf international in Hamilton.

Eighteen year old Zoe Brake fired a three under par 69 to lead New Zealand to a three-under par total of 141.

Fifteen-year-old Cecilia Cho, in her senior international debut, had second counting score with an

even par 72 while 12-year-old Lydia Ko had two double bogies in her four over and non-counting 76.

New Zealand has a one shot lead over the defending champions Korea and Thailand on two-under par.

The team event involves 12 nations competing over 54 holes and it finishes tomorrow.
