With two days to go six swimmers have now qualified for the Commonwealth Games at the national swimming championships, which are being used as trials for New Delhi.

Glenn Snyders and Hayley Palmer qualified in the 100 metres breastroke and 100 freestyle respectively at Waitakere last night .

There was disappointment though for another two Olympians with Moss Burmester and Corney Swanepoel both outside the qualifying time for the 100 butterfly.

Burmester - who's qualified in trhe 200 -- says the time was a lot slower than he thought and the return to traditional swimsuits may be the reason.

Burmester and Swanepoel still have the 50 metrres butterfly to come.
