Sky Television has confirmed it has reached agreement with the SANZAR unions extending its broadcast arrangements for five years from 2011 to 2015.
The NZRU's chief executive Steve Tew says the agreement's a very positive step.
The deal covers the Super 15, the All Blacks' June Test matches, the Tri Nations, all inbound tours to New Zealand, Australia and South Africa and the top domestic competitions in New Zealand and South Africa.
Details of the agreements will be formally announced later.
